They have two sub-divisions named, 1-&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Aswini Patara&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and 2-&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Gaudia Patara&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. They used the surnames includes;Kundu, Kotual, Ash, [[Behera]], Meher,Guin, Patra, Paramanik,Naha, Tosh, [[Sahoo]],Das,pal, Dalal etc. The religious festivals like Raksha Bandhan,Pana Sankranti, Kanak Durga Puja and Hara Gouri Puja are mostly associated with the people of Patara community.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;{{cite book&lt;br /&gt;
