Sreenivasan]] formed a production company called Kumari Films, with contributions from more than 50 shareholders.{{sfn|Rajadhyaksha|Willemen|1998|p=365}} Each of them contributed an amount ranging from {{INR}}500 to {{INR}} 5,000 to start the banner. None of the members contributed more than {{INR}} 5,000.
