Yassin served as a medical specialist and advisor in the pediatric unit of [[Ain Shams University]]&amp;#039;s hospital from 1994 to 2010. He is a member of [[World Allergy Organization|the World Allergy Organization]] and a founding member of the Egyptian Pediatric Allergy and Immunity Group.&amp;lt;ref name=wasins/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Yassin is one of the very active Brotherhood members since he joined the group in 1985 and became the spokesperson for the group. He was a member of the Brotherhood&amp;#039;s central Cairo administrative office from 2005 to 2011.&amp;lt;ref name=wasins/&amp;gt; He is a member of the so-called &amp;quot;iron organization,&amp;quot; a strong, committed faction in the Brotherhood led by [[Khairat Al-Shater|Khairat Al Shater]], who is the Brotherhood&amp;#039;s first deputy chairman and the deputy general guide.&amp;lt;ref name=ashour/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
