Odegal basadi is a granite temple built in 14th century and is the largest temple on the [[Vindhyagiri Hill]].{{sfn|Deccan Herald|2020}}{{sfn|Raman|1994|p=57}} The temple derives its name from &amp;#039;Odega&amp;#039;, i.e., soapstone used for strengthening the walls of the temple.{{sfn|Settar|1989|p=269}} The temple has three cells facing different directions, giving the name &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Trirukta Basadi&amp;#039;&amp;#039; or &amp;#039;&amp;#039;trikuta Basadi&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.{{sfn|Menon|2018}} The temple has splended structure with non-ornate exterior.{{sfn|Sangave|1981|p=14}} The temple houses image of [[Rishabhanatha]], [[Neminatha]] and [[Shantinatha]] made out of dark coloured [[schist]].{{sfn|Deccan Herald|2020}}{{sfn|Knapp|2008|p=496}} This temple is include in &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Adarsh Smarak Scheme&amp;#039;&amp;#039; introduced by [[Archaeological Survey of India]] for the preservation.{{sfn|ASI|Adarsh Smarak Monuments}}&lt;br /&gt;
