== History ==
In 2011, Nalla Sopara alone recorded a 25% increase in first-class commuters from the previous year.

[[Western Railway zone|Western Railways]] widened the platforms at the station in 2012. It created more space on the narrow fast-train platform 4 at Nalla Sopara, as well as at {{stnlnk|Mira Road}}, which is linked to the skywalk. The project cost about {{INR}}72 lacs and the construction was completed in July 2012.{{Citation needed|date=April 2026}}
