Later, [[Guntur–Macherla section]], [[Tenali–Macherla section]] was converted from metre gauge to [[broad gauge]] and a new line was laid from [[Bibinagar]] near [[Hyderabad]] to Nadikudi, thus making Nadikudi a junction.
