It mostly gets [[WAP-4]] loco of [[Electric Loco Shed, Howrah|Howrah]] (ER) shed from {{stnlnk|Howrah Junction}}.

Before the conversion of Mumbai CSMT to {{stnlnk|Kasara}} from 1500 V DC to 25 kV AC, it was hauled by [[Indian locomotive class WCAM 3|WCAM-3]] of [[Kalyan Junction railway station|KYN]] shed for that section.

The maximum permissible speed is 130 km/h but it is less in many parts of the journey as many parts are not fit for 130 km/h speed.
