==Early life and education==

He graduated in 1963 from Government College, [[Sheikhupura]] and has the degree of Bachelor of Arts.<ref name="pap/2013" />

He was elected to the [[Provincial Assembly of the Punjab]] from Constituency PP-137 (Gujranwala) in [[1985 Pakistani general election]].
