Previously he served as the Minister of State [[Minister for Education (Pakistan)|Federal Education]] and [[Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control (Pakistan)|of Interior and Narcotics Control]] in [[third Sharif ministry]] from 2013 to 2017. He had been a member of the [[National Assembly of Pakistan|National Assembly]] from 2008 to May 2018.&lt;br /&gt;
