The film was scheduled to release on 14 June.<ref name="Deccan" /> Thinkal Menon of ''The Times of India'' wrote that, "The movie has a not-so-bad plot, which reminds us of the interestingly-written heist film ''[[Sathuranga Vettai]]'', which had solid performances and intriguing scenes. But ''Mosadi'' is nowhere close to it – it would have been a decent watch if the making and performance were at least average".<ref>{{Cite news |last=Menon |first=Thinkal |date=20 June 2019 |title=Mosadi Movie Review {1.5/5} |url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/tamil/movie-reviews/mosadi/movie-review/69874486.cms |access-date=1 July 2020 |work=The Times of India}}</ref> Anupama Subramanian of the ''Deccan Chronicle'' stated that, " The director has given us an interesting plot, however, it is in the execution that he errs".<ref>{{Cite web |last=Subramanian |first=Anupama |date=22 June 2019 |title=Mosadi movie review: Potential plot, lacks execution |url=https://www.deccanchronicle.com/entertainment/movie-reviews/220619/mosadi-movie-review-potential-plot-lacks-execution.html |website=Deccan Chronicle}}</ref><br />
