As the track between [[Muzaffarpur Junction railway station|Muzaffarpur Junction]] and [[Raxaul]] has been electrified.. The journey is covered by an electric locomotive [[WAP 4]]
However the track doubling work between [[Muzaffarpur Junction railway station|Muzaffarpur]] and [[Motihari|Bapudham Motihari]] is under progress.
