'''Mirpur Lakha''' is a village in [[Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district]] of [[Punjab, India|Punjab]] [[States and territories of India|State]], India. It is located {{convert|14|km}} away from [[Banga, India|Banga]], {{convert|11|km}} from [[Nawanshahr]], {{convert|7.9|km}} from district headquarter Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and {{convert|102|km}} from state capital [[Chandigarh]]. == Demography ==
As of 2011, Mirpur Lakha has a total number of 241 houses and population of 1097 of which 552 include are males while 545 are females according to the report published by [[2011 Census of India|Census India in 2011]]. The [[Literacy|literacy rate]] of Mirpur Lakha is 82.05% higher than the state average of 75.84%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 122 which is 11.12% of total population of Mirpur Lakha, and [[child sex ratio]] is approximately 848 as compared to Punjab state average of 846.<ref name=census /><ref>{{cite web|url=http://pib.nic.in/newsite/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=103437|title=Child Sex Ratio in India (2001-2011)|work=pib.nic.in}}</ref>
