He graduated from the [[University of the Punjab]] in 2003.<ref name="pap" />

He was elected to the [[Provincial Assembly of the Punjab]] as a candidate of [[Islami Jamhoori Ittehad]] (IJI) from Constituency PP-97 (Gujrat-VII) in [[1988 Pakistani general election]].
