A new night frog &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Nyctibatrachus mewasinghi&amp;#039;&amp;#039; has been named after him which is endemic to the Western Ghats. Singh&amp;#039;s research centers on primate social behavior, including conflict resolution, cooperation, inequity aversion,food-sharing, primate bereavement,  etc. He is the author of the book &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Primate Societies&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and co-author of &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Macaque Societies: A Model for the Study of Social Organization&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.
