== Player profile ==<br />
Figueiredo grew up in a rural environment before beginning his football career. He was known for being comfortable using either foot and for his ability in aerial play. His style of play was technical, and he was regarded as a physically resilient defender. Notably, he was never booked for a foul by a referee during his career.<ref>{{Cite web |title=GOA’S 1ST INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYER MENINO FIGUEIREDO NO MORE |url=https://www.prudentmedia.in/general/goa%E2%80%99s-1st-international-football-player-menino-figueiredo-no-more/25209.html |access-date=2026-01-10 |website=www.prudentmedia.in |language=en}}</ref><br />
<br />
“Menino was designated half-back, but his role was really that of a twin stopper. His build suited the role,” said former GFA secretary Antonio Botelho.<ref>{{Cite news |date=2023-04-09 |title=Menino Figueiredo, Goa's first international sportsperson who personified defending, dies at 86 |url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/goa/menino-goas-first-international-sportsperson-who-personified-defending-dies-at-86/articleshow/99351632.cms |access-date=2026-01-10 |work=The Times of India |issn=0971-8257}}</ref><br />
