==History==
The record of the Dargah dates to over 200 years ago when Aala Hazrat worked in the [[Bhonsle]] army's Arab regiment. After the regiment came back, it halted in Nagpur for some while. Alaâ Hazrat would rest there and pray in front of the [[Azadirachta indica|neem]] tree.<ref name=":0">{{Cite web|url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/nagpur/qawwalis-mark-sufi-saints-urs-at-meetha-neem-dargah/articleshow/58387310.cms|title=Qawwalis mark Sufi saint’s Urs at Meetha Neem Dargah |date=April 27, 2017|website=The Times of India|language=en|access-date=2020-05-23}}</ref>

==Etymology==
Because of his blessings, the bitter neem leaves turned sweet.<ref name=":0"/><ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.aulia-e-hind.com/dargah/Jalaluddin_Nagpur.htm|title=Dargah of Hazrat Syed Jalaluddin Sahibha Mir Surkh Urf Meetha Neem Wale Baba|website=www.aulia-e-hind.com|access-date=2020-05-29}}</ref>
