== Early life and education ==
Md Tauseef Alam born in village Gargawn Milik in bahadurganj, [[Kishanganj district|Kishanganj]], Bihar. == Political career ==
In 1998, he joined politics. In [[2005 Bihar Legislative Assembly election|feb 2005 Bihar Legislative Assembly]] election he contested as an [[Independent politician|independent]] candidate from [[Bahadurganj (Vidhan Sabha constituency)|Bahadurganj Vidhan Sabha]] and got elected.<ref name=":1" /> But due to [[Hung parliament|hung assembly]] no government could be formed in Bihar.<ref name=":2">{{Cite web|url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Bihar-under-central-rule-for-8th-time/articleshow/1043862.cms|title=Bihar under central rule for 8th time {{!}} India News - Times of India|last1=Mar 7|first1=PTI {{!}} Updated|last2=2005|website=The Times of India|language=en|access-date=2019-06-03|last3=Ist|first3=21:06}}</ref> Fresh elections were held in [[Bihar Assembly Election, 2005#October election|October–November]] the same year. [[President's rule]] was imposed in between the two elections.<ref name=":2" /> And in [[October 2005 Bihar Legislative Assembly election|October 2005 Bihar Legislative Assembly]] elections he contested as an [[Indian National Congress]] candidate and saved his seat again.
