Aurangzeb did her graduation from the Federal Government College in [[Islamabad]]. Aurangzeb was elected to the National Assembly as a candidate of PML (N) on a reserved seats for women in [[2013 Pakistani general election|2013 general election]].<ref name="Dawn" /><ref name="Tribune" />

Aurangzeb had worked with [[Maryam Nawaz]] and was a part of her team which oversaw the education sector.
