&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Mangala Devi Kannagi&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; temple is a historic temple located in the [[Idukki]] District of [[Kerala]] bordering Tamil Nadu, about 7&amp;amp;nbsp;km from Pazhiyankudi in [[Theni district|Theni]] district and 15&amp;amp;nbsp;km from [[Thekkady]] in [[Idukki district|Idukki]] district. Cheran Chenguttuvan, the king of ancient [[Tamilakam]], had erected the temple for [[Kannagi]] around 2000 years back at Vannathipaarai and called it &amp;#039;Kannagi Kottam&amp;#039; or &amp;#039;Mangaladevi Kannagi temple&amp;#039; and performed regular [[Poosei (Tamil)|]s. It sits at an altitude of about {{cvt|1337|m}} above the [[mean sea level]].
