==Early Life==
Mahtab Alam was born on 06 January 1970 in a landowning family in Nohsa, Phulwarisharif, [[Patna]] [[Bihar]]. He studied in a public school, Patna and completed his graduation in Political Science from [[Bihar National College|B N Collage]], [[Patna]]. Mahtab Alam is his official name but nickname is Manna given by his grandparent in childhood. He was the collage president as well as the student union leader. ==Political Career==
Mahtab started his political career in 1995 by joining [[Samta Party]] with ex-mla Satish Kumar [[Nalanda]].
Later he joined [[Lok Shakti ]] and [[Nationalist Congress Party]] in 1997 and 1999 respectively.

In 2010, he also organised the muslim rally to unite muslims in bihar with [[Sabir Ali (politician)|Sabir Ali]] and [[Ahmad Ashfaque Karim]].
