Ray was born in [[Puri]], Odisha. She studied at SCS College.
==Career==
Ray's first movie was "Sesa Shrabana" with [[Prashanta Nanda]] and Hemanta Das.
She has been a leading actress in Odia film industry as well as in the [[Bengali language|Bengali]] film industry. She also did a Telugu movie. Ray has often been critically acclaimed as one of the best Odia actresses so far.
