He was known for his &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Sahitya Varaphalam&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, a weekly column he wrote first in Malayalanadu weekly, later in [[Kalakaumudi]] and finally in [[Samakalika Malayalam Vaarika]], which introduced world literature to Malayalam readers. He also published several books, including &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Saundaryathinte Sannidhanathil&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Adhunika Malayala Kavitha&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Vayanakkara, Ningal Jeevichirikkunno?&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. Krishnan Nair was born in [[Thiruvananthapuram]], the capital city of the south Indian state of [[Kerala]] on March 3, 1923 to V. K.
