The union territory of [[Ladakh]], [[India]] consists of two [[list of districts in India|districts]]. Each district elects an [[autonomous administrative divisions of India|autonomous district council]]. Until 31 October 2019, these districts were part of the former state of [[Jammu and Kashmir (state)|Jammu and Kashmir]].<br />

Demands have been raised for the creation of new districts in Ladakh.
