It is developing rapidly due to the [[Rail Coach Factory, Raebareli|Rail Coach Factory]]. Lalganj has the largest railway station in [[Raebareli district]]. It is located on the way from [[Kanpur]] to [[Raebareli]]/[[Allahabad]] and [[Lucknow]] to [[Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh|Fatehpur]].

==Rail Coach Factory==
This factory was established by the Central Government in the Lalganj and was inaugurated on 7 November 2012 by Congress President [[Sonia Gandhi]]. This is third [[Rail Coach Factory]] of India. It is located on the [[Raebareli]] Road, about four kilometers out of Lalganj. This factory produces AC coaches. Rail Coach Factory, Raebareli is now Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli. Modern Coach Factory manufacture LWACCW, LWACCN, LWSCN, LGS and LWRRM type of coaches.
