Nanda Rani Dal of CPI(M) defeated Rajani Kanta Doloi of Trinamool Congress in 2001, Sannyasi Dolai of [[Indian National Congress|Congress]] in 1996, and Balai Chandra Parija of [[Jharkhand Party]] in 1991.
