He worked as a librarian at Gandhi Smriti Library, [[Bhavnagar]] for six years, and then as a manager at Lokmilap Trust, Bhavnagar for eight years. Meghani edited several books including &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Sona-Navadi : Samagra Kavita&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Saurashtra Ni Rasadhar : Sankalit Avritti&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Sorathi Baharvatia : Sankalit Avritti&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, Radhiali Raat : Brihad Avritti&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Loksahitya ane Charani Sahitya&amp;#039; : Vyakhyano ane Lekho&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Meghani Na Natako&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1997), &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Meghani Ni Samagra Navalika&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1998), and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Paribhraman: Navsankaran&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (2009, with Ashok Meghani). These edited volumes were later included in the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Complete works of Jhaverchand Meghani&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, published by [[Gujarat Sahitya Academy]], which were also edited by Meghani himself. He translated four books for the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Oxford Illustrated Stories for Adult&amp;#039;&amp;#039; series: &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Aladin Ane Alibaba&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1984), &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Columbus&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1984), &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Apaharan&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1986), and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Hercules&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1986). He translated &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Xuanzang|Hiuan-Tsang]] No Bharat-Pravas&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1995) for [[National Book Trust]]&amp;#039;s &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Nehru Children Library Series&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.
