Tiss was born in [[Ghomrassen]] in [[Tataouine]] on 8 July 1985. She obtained a degree in literary studies from the [[University of Tunis]] in 2007 and a master's degree in English from the [[Ecole Normale Supérieure]] in 2010.<br />
