The Jamnapari originated in the [[Etawah District]] of [[Uttar Pradesh]], and is particularly associated with the [[tehsil]] of [[Chakarnagar]].{{r|dgj}} It is one of the ancestors of the [[Anglo-Nubian]].{{r|dgj}}
