He graduated from School of Life sciences, [[Sambalpur University]] with B.Sc. degree in zoology with honours and earned his M.Sc. degree from the same institute. His doctoral research involved immunomodulatory activity of bioactive components isolated from natural sources. After completion of doctoral in Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2007, in 2015 he completed his post doctoral in cancer biology from [[University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center]].
