&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Jñānagupta&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; ([[Sanskrit]]: {{lang|sa|ज्ञानगुप्त}}; {{zh|c=闍那崛多 or 志德|p=Shénàjuéduō or Zhì Dé}}) was a [[Buddhism|Buddhist]] monk &amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;Kalhan&amp;#039;s Rajtarangini The Saga of the Kings of Kashmir translation by R S Pandit Published by Sahitya Akademi, Appendix D page 731, {{ISBN|81-260-1236-6}}&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; from [[Gandhara]] who travelled to [[China]] and was recognised by [[Emperor Wen of Sui China|Emperor Wen]] of the [[Sui Dynasty]].  He is said to have brought with him 260 sutras in [[Sanskrit]], and was supported in translating these into Chinese by the emperor.&lt;br /&gt;

In total, he translated 39 scriptures in 192 [[fascicle (book)|fascicles]] during the period 561 to 592, including:&lt;br /&gt;
