Himanshu hails from [[Vrindavan]], [[India]]. He studied in India and completed his undergraduate education in [[Electrical Engineering]] from [[Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur]] in 2009. He was a resident in [[Azad Hall]] and was actively involved in Dramatics and Technology societies.<br />

Himanshu shaped India’s energy policy by writing the Renewable Energy Chapter in its National Five Year Plan 2012–2017 ( [[Five-Year Plans of India]]). He worked with [[United States Department of Energy]], [[Government of the United Kingdom]], [[Confederation of Indian Industry]] and several other organizations to implement the first Energy Sustainability Pathways project in India.
