Heeraman Tiwari was born on 1 November 1961. Tiwari attended [[Delhi University|Lucknow]] University for his B.A and M.A. He joined the [[University of Delhi]] for his Ph.D and [[University of Oxford|The University of Oxford]] for his D.Phil.
