Rawal was born in Limdi, Gujarat to Manishankar Vyas. Her talent was first recognised in a programme of Shruti Sanstha when she sang "Keva Re Malela Manna Mel?", which was later used in the Gujarati film ''[[Kashino Dikro]]''.
