She had an [[length overall|overall length]] of {{convert|358|ft|3|in|1}}, a [[beam (nautical)|beam]] of {{convert|33|ft|8|in|1}} and a deep [[draft (hull)|draught]] of {{convert|13|ft|6|in|1}}. She was powered by two [[Parsons Marine Steam Turbine Company|Parsons]] geared [[steam turbine]]s, each driving one [[propeller shaft]], using steam provided by two [[Admiralty three-drum boiler]]s. The turbines developed a total of {{convert|40000|shp|lk=in}} and gave a maximum speed of {{convert|36|kn|lk=in}}. ''Redoubt'' carried a maximum of {{convert|470|LT|t}} of [[fuel oil]] that gave her a range of {{convert|4675|nmi|lk=in}} at {{convert|20|kn}}. ==Postwar service==
Between 1946 and 1947 ''Redoubt'' was part of the reserve held at Chatham Dockyard, being transferred to the Harwich reserve in August 1947. Between 1948 and 1949 she underwent a refit at Chatham Dockyard.
