GGP was formed in 1991 to plead for the rights of the [[Gondi people]], and to establish a separate [[India]]n state of [[Gondwana (India)|Gondwana]] in central [[India]].80 percent of the poor, Former, Labor and unemployed people of India, are still in the grip of exploitation, injustice and corruption even after nearly 70 years of independence,GGP have been working to fight for their rights.

In the [[Vidhan Sabha]] elections in [[Uttar Pradesh]] 2002 GGP had eight candidates, who together mustered 11 262 votes.

Three were elected.
