The first day of [[Bhadro]] (5th month of [[Bengali calendars|Bengali calendar]]) started on the eve of Bisharjan of Manasha ([[Bengali language|Bengali]]: মনসার ভাসান)<ref name=":0" /> and later celebrated on the day of [[Vijayadashami|Vijaya Dashami]] during the monsoon season.<ref name=":1" />

The festival revolves around a teenage boy.
