			The main line of [[Eastern Bengal Railway]] from [[Sealdah railway station\|Sealdah]] to [[Siliguri Junction railway station\|Siliguri]] via [[Ranaghat Junction railway station\|Ranaghat]], [[Darshana railway station\|Darshana]], [[Santahar Junction railway station\|Santahar]], [[Parbatipur Junction railway station\|Parbatipur]] and [[Haldibari railway station\|Haldibari]] was built in 1878.
