On June 27, 2019, the main cast was announced. ==Controversy==
[[Kartik Aaryan]] was originally cast for one of the lead roles and had shot a significant portion of the movie prior to the [[COVID-19 lockdown in India|lockdown]]. However, on 16 April 2021, Aaryan, who was supposed to collaborate with [[Dharma Productions]] for the first time, was fired from the film and blacklisted by the studio.
