==Biography==&lt;br /&gt;
Born in [[Churu, Rajasthan|Churu]], India, Sharma received his Master of Arts (M.A.) from [[Kota, Rajasthan|Kota]] and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from the [[University of Rajasthan]], [[Jaipur]]. Divakar Sharma received his tutelage in history and culture from his father, the Sanskrit scholar &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Vidyavachaspati&amp;#039;&amp;#039; [[Vidyadhar Shastri]] and his father’s younger brother, Professor [[Dasharatha Sharma]].&lt;br /&gt;

Divakar Sharma was appointed as Lecturer in Sanskrit at the [[Dungar College]], [[Bikaner]]&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;Sarasvat, Parmanand (1984) &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Sahityasrashta&amp;#039;&amp;#039; Shri Vidyadhar Shastri, Ganu Prakashan, Bikaner p10&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; and retired from that position in 1991. He then headed an institution for research and promotion of Sanskrit, Hindi and Rajasthani literature, the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Hindi Vishwa Bharati Anusandhan Parishad&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, Bikaner. Additionally he was the editor of the institution’s principal research publication &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Vishwambhara&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.  &lt;br /&gt;

==Editorial responsibilities==&lt;br /&gt;
Divakar Sharma was the editor of the quarterly &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Hindi Vishwa Bharati&amp;#039;&amp;#039;  publication &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Vishwambhara&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. For an extended period, he was also the editor of the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Rajasthani Gyanpith Sansthan&amp;#039;s&amp;#039;&amp;#039;  principal periodical &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Rajasthani Ganga&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. He also served on the editorial boards of the periodicals &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Varada&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Vaicharaki&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Kala-Darshan&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.&lt;br /&gt;

He was honored at the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Vishisht Vidvat Samman&amp;#039;&amp;#039; by the Rajasthan Sanskrit Academy, Jaipur and as &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Vishist Sahityakar&amp;#039;&amp;#039; by the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Rajasthan Sahitya Academy&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, Udaipur. Numerous cultural and literary organizations of Rajasthan also conferred honors on him. He became famous at Reality Musical Game Show&lt;br /&gt;

Divakar Sharma is a member of the Board of Directors of the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Rajasthan Sahitya Academy&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, Udaipur and treasurer of the Rajasthani Language and Culture Academy. He was a member and official of many other literary and cultural organizations.&lt;br /&gt;
