== Production ==
The film title was inspired from the word Dikkilona which was used by [[Goundamani]] and [[Senthil]] in the 1993 action film [[Gentleman (1993 film)|''Gentleman'']].<ref name=":3" />

The film was initially supposed to have its theatrical release in April 2020 but was postponed and called off due to the [[COVID-19 pandemic in India]].
