It is situated approximately 10 kilometers away from the district headquarters of Ramban.

CEIGALL India Limited is involved in significant infrastructure development in the area, including the construction of a 6.6 km Makarkoot-Silar (Sherbibi) via-duct over Nallah Bishlari valued at Rs 450 crores including GST and a two-tube Digdol-Khooni Nallah tunnel measuring 6.2 kilometers valued at Rs 800 crores without GST. These projects are expected to enhance connectivity in the region.<ref name="tnn-2017"/>

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has also proposed the construction of two tubes measuring a total of 16.6 kilometers between Ramban and Digdol, extending up to Sher Bibi, and connecting it with a viaduct as part of the Banihal expressway project.<ref>{{cite web | title=J&K: NHAI all set to complete construction of 800-metre-long tunnel T5 by March 15 | website=News On AIR - News Services Division | date=21 September 2023 | url=https://newsonair.gov.in/News?title=J%26K%3A-NHAI-all-set-to-complete-construction-of-800-metre-long-tunnel-T5-by-March-15&id=456205 | access-date=21 September 2023}}</ref><ref>{{cite web | last=Khajuria | first=Ravi Krishnan | title=Relief in the offing as strategic T5 tunnel on Jammu-Srinagar highway nears completion | website=[[Hindustan Times]] | date=15 February 2023 | url=https://www.hindustantimes.com/cities/chandigarh-news/relief-in-the-offing-as-strategic-t5-tunnel-on-jammu-srinagar-highway-nears-completion-101676404345302.html | access-date=21 September 2023}}</ref>
