== Life and career ==
D N Sharma was born in the [[Narnaul|Narnaul, Mahendragarh]] city in the state of Haryana . He graduated in medicine (MBBS) from [[Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences|Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak]] in 1987. He did MD Radiation Oncology from Same institute in 1994. He also secured a DNB in [[Radiation oncology|Radiation Oncology]] [[National Board of Examinations]], New Delhi in 1998.

He joined AIIMS in 1994 and attained position of Professor and head by his hard work and dedication to treatment of cancer patients.
