He ran for the seat of the [[Provincial Assembly of the Punjab]] as a candidate of [[Pakistan Muslim League (N)]] (PML-N) from Constituency PP-176 (Khanewal-III) in [[1993 Pakistani general election]] but was unsuccessful.
