'''Chak Bilgan''' is a village in [[Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district]] of [[Punjab, India|Punjab]] [[States and territories of India|State]], India. It is located {{convert|3.6|km}} away from postal head office Behram, {{convert|10|km}} from [[Banga, India|Banga]], {{convert|21|km}} from district headquarter Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and {{convert|114|km}} from state capital [[Chandigarh]]. The village is administrated by [[Sarpanch]] Mr Balwant Singh, an elected representative of the village. == Demography ==
As of 2011, Chak Bilgan has a total number of 389 houses and population of 1822 of which 903 include are males while 919 are females according to the report published by [[2011 Census of India|Census India in 2011]]. The [[Literacy|literacy rate]] of Chak Bilgan is 87.42%, higher than the state average of 75.84%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 193 which is 10.59% of total population of Chak Bilgan, and [[child sex ratio]] is approximately 921 as compared to Punjab state average of 846.<ref name=census /><ref>{{cite web|url=http://pib.nic.in/newsite/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=103437|title=Child Sex Ratio in India (2001-2011)|work=pib.nic.in}}</ref>

Most of the people are either Jatt sikhs or Ravidassias. Other prominent family names in the village consist of Bains, Sohals and Kajla. Schedule castes form 42.70% of total population in Chak Bilgan. The town does not have any [[Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes|Schedule Tribe]] population so far.<ref name=census />

As per the report published by Census India in 2011, 547 people were engaged in work activities out of the total population of Chak Bilgan which includes 480 males and 67 females.
