The '''Central Universities Common Entrance Test''' ('''CUCET''') is an all-India test is being organized for admission to various Integrated/Under-Graduate, Post Graduate and Research Programmes in several [[Central university (India)|Central Universities]] and [[State university (India)|State Universities]] of India. From its inception in 2010 till 2020, the CUCET was conducted/coordinated by the [[Central University of Rajasthan]]. The [[National Testing Agency]] took over the conduct of these exams in 2021.

==History==
CUCET was first conducted to admission for seven central universities for 1,500 seats in 41 undergraduate, postgraduate and integrated courses from 2010. ==Exam pattern and structure==
All Question Papers are MCQ based organized into different parts.

=== For UG and PG programmes ===
* Part A : Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude and analytical skills-consisting of 25 MCQs.
* Part B: Domain Knowledge-consisting of 75 MCQs. (Sometimes divided into three/four/five sections and a candidate is required to answer a set of any three sections totaling to 75).
* Some Integrated Programme/MBA/B.Voc./LLB/MCA and other general Programme require to pass only one paper consisting of 100 MCQs covering English language, reasoning, data interpretations/numerical ability, general awareness and analytical skills.<ref>{{cite web |title=FAQ |url=https://www.cucetexam.in/Document/Frequently_Asked_Questions.pdf |website=CUCET |publisher=CUCET |accessdate=13 March 2019}}</ref>

===Negative marking===
For UI & PG Programmes, negative marking scheme is followed with a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. However, the negative marking is not followed for research programmes.
