==History==
Brahmani was historically part of the [[taluqdar]]i estate belonging to the Rajas of [[Tiloi]].<ref name="Gazetteer 1905"/> Its commercial importance grew with the opening of the railway station at Fursatganj.<ref name="Gazetteer 1905"/> At the turn of the 20th century, it also had a small school and a post office.<ref name="Gazetteer 1905"/> The population in 1901 was 1,690, including a large number of [[Ahir]]s and [[Bania (caste)|Bania]]s.<ref name="Gazetteer 1905"/>

An [[aerodrome]] was constructed at Fursatganj in 1941–42.<ref name="Census 1961"/>
