== Reception ==
=== Critical response ===
Akshay Kumar of ''[[Cinema Express]]'' gave 3/5 stars and wrote, "''Bioscope'' is one of the rarest films about films that don't end with the protagonist, who is usually a director, punching in the air after an overwhelming response from the audience."<ref>{{Cite web |last=Kumar |first=Akshay |date=2025-01-03 |title=Bioscope Movie Review: Mistakes add to beauty in this ode to cinema |url=https://www.cinemaexpress.com/tamil/review/2025/Jan/03/bioscope-movie-review-mistakes-add-to-beauty-in-this-ode-to-cinema |access-date=2025-01-04 |website=Cinema Express |language=en}}</ref> Abhinav Subramanian of ''[[The Times of India|Times of India]]'' gave 2/5 stars and wrote, "Bioscope emerges as a curious paradox: a story about making movie magic that works only partially. Like its characters’ makeshift equipment, it's ingenious in parts, but doesn't quite get the job done."<ref>{{Cite news |title=Bioscope Movie Review : When DIY filmmaking meets village wisdom — and misses! |url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/tamil/movie-reviews/bioscope/movie-review/116903320.cms |access-date=2025-01-04 |work=The Times of India |issn=0971-8257}}</ref>
