==[[File:Searchtool.svg|45px|Divisions]]Scope==
The scope of this article fundamentally is loosely defined as all articles and sections relating to '''Lucknow''' Region ([[Malihabad]], [[Kakori]], [[Amethi, Lucknow|Amethi]], [[Bakshi Ka Talab]], [[Lucknow]] and [[Gosainganj, Lucknow|Gosainganj]], [[Itaunja]], [[Mahona]], [[Nagram]]) and Lucknow district. Almost all of these will be (eventually) categorised under [[:Category:Lucknow]], [[:Category:Lucknow district]], [[:Category:Uttar Pradesh]] and [[:Category:India]].
==Assessment==
{{Wikipedia:WikiProject Lucknow/Navigation}}
There are still lots of articles to be assessed and tagged! Check out the directory at the bottom if you want to help (Category:WikiProject Lucknow). ''See also:'' Template: <nowiki>{{</nowiki>[[Wikipedia:WikiProject_Lucknow#Templates|WikiProject Lucknow]]<nowiki>}}</nowiki>, below.

==Parentage==
The parents of this WikiProject are [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities|WikiProject Cities]], and [[Wikipedia:WikiProject India|WikiProject India]] whose relevance is somewhat limited vis-a-vis documenting a single very large city and the many communities within it.

At a state level, the parent of this project is [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Uttar Pradesh|WikiProject Uttar Pradesh]].

==[[File:Nuvola_apps_kpdf.png|45px|Goals]]Goals==

This [[Wikipedia:WikiProject|WikiProject]] aims to help organize and contribute to the growing collection of articles about Lucknow.

This can be achieved by:

* '''Develop''': Improve and maintain articles that are on the [[Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Lucknow articles by quality|worklist]], [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Lucknow/Cleanup listing|cleanup list]], or requested on the [[Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Lucknow|project talk page]].

* '''Coordinate''':
:* Tag all Lucknow-relevant articles with {{tl|WikiProject Lucknow}}, and [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Lucknow/Assessment|assess]] and prioritize articles missing [[:Category:unassessed lucknow articles|assessment]] or [[:Category:Unknown-importance Lucknow articles|importance]] values.
:* [[Wikipedia:Categorization|Categorize]] Lucknow related articles, including with [[WP:Stub|stub tags]] and [[WP:NAVBOX|navigation boxes]].

* '''Support''': Invite more users to join with {{tls|WikiProject Lucknow invitation}} and assist them whenever possible.

==Manual of Style==
{{main|Wikipedia:Manual of Style/India-related articles}}
===Indic scripts in lead===
{{Shortcut|WP:INDICSCRIPT}}
There is community consensus that the lead sentence of an article should not contain any regional or Indic language script. It is suggested that [[International Phonetic Alphabet|IPA]] be used for help with pronunciation. For details, refer to this RfC: [[Wikipedia_talk:Noticeboard_for_India-related_topics/Archive_48#Native_languages_in_lead|Native languages in lead]].
