This [[Bharatpedia:WikiProject|Wikiproject]] is aimed at creating a greater consistency among the law-related articles. Key areas of concern include consistency in defining concepts across multiple jurisdictions and proper categorization of articles.
=== Indian law ===
Because Bharatpedia is widely read in India, this project also works for consistent coverage of Indian law as a mixed system: the [[Constitution of India]]; Union and State legislation; the higher judiciary; personal laws; and the 2023 criminal-law codes ([[Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita]], [[Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita]], [[Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam]]) together with historical coverage of the IPC, CrPC and Evidence Act where sources discuss them. Articles should not assume United States procedure or treat "the common law" as the whole of Indian law. Project pages are not legal advice.

It is vital that we create a comprehensive explanation of the [[common law]], which is shared by most English-speaking countries. The common law is clearly divisible into a number of key areas, each of which should be tackled and developed in turn. These areas are:
