== Outspokenness ==
Although Aslam Shaikh holds the textile ministry, he is vocal on a number of issues. During the second wave of Covid 19 in India, he asserted: "Some celebrities from the film industry and cricketers had mild symptoms or were asymptomatic, but they got themselves admitted to major private hospitals and occupied beds for longer periods."<ref name="hospitalbeds"/>
